Our client had a big problem. New hires were being sent to a central location to be trained by Human Resources in a six-week new hire course. Unfortunately, during training, some of the new hires didn't work out. But our client did not have a good way of tracking who was succeeding and who was failing. Information did not flow smoothly between trainers or out to the new hire's manager. If a new hire didn't succeed, there was no reliable way of keeping the new hire's manager informed. Occasionally, a manager was not aware that his/her new hire had been let go until the new hire failed to show up after training.
Solution
Patrick Solutions built a process and website to formalize the evaluation and certification of new hires. To
make the process efficient, Patrick Solutions built in automated notifications for Human Resources management and the trainees’ managers. Patrick Solutions hosted the site and provided ongoing support.
Results
For the first time, poorly performing salespersons were weeded out during new hire training with an efficient and consistent process. Documentation was systematically stored. Sales managers were involved in the escalation process. The quality of salespersons increased, sales improved, and the organization thrived.
